What to Wear When the Frame Only Gets Your Shoulders Up
A short, practical guide to dressing for a headshot that still looks like you two years from now.

A headshot is a tight frame. It crops at the shoulders, so every choice reads loud and there is nowhere to hide a busy shirt. The good news is that dressing for it is simple once you know what the camera rewards.
Solid beats busy
Thin stripes, small checks, and tight patterns tend to buzz on screen and date quickly. One clean, solid color holds up far longer. Pick a tone that flatters you and let your face be the loudest thing in the frame.
Mind the neckline
Necklines frame your jaw, which is the part of you the lens is watching. A clean collar, a simple crew, or a structured blazer all work. A light layer adds shape and keeps the shot from reading flat.
Bring options
Two or three tops, pressed and ready, give us room to read what works on the day. Every frame is reviewed on a screen during the shoot, so you will see the difference between choices before you leave.

You are the subject. The clothes are just the frame.
Come as the most put-together version of an ordinary workday, and the camera will take care of the rest.
